The Philadelphia 76ers worked harder to guarantee that the NBA Playoffs series went to Game 6. Tyrese Maxey used all of his power to carry them over the Jalen Brunson-led New York Knicks. They have two more games to go if they intend to continue their postseason journey. However, things are not looking well due to Joel Embiid’s status.

The 76ers have yet to see Joel Embiid’s full potential in this NBA Playoffs run. His lateral quickness is definitely hindered, and it appears that things are only getting worse. This is why Tyrese Maxey has been performing the majority of the heavy lifting. The defending MVP suffered an injury in Game 6 against the Knicks. He quickly went to the locker room to get evaluated, according to Mike Sisak of the Associated Press.

He returned to the game, but the same troubles persisted. Joel Embiid has been the 76ers’ primary source of first-quarter offense in this game. His inside presence has been a major part in keeping the squad alive. He has made three of his six field goal tries and is a clean three for three on free throws, earning nine points. He also grabbed three total rebounds to finish possessions.

The 76ers’ offense has not been spectacular. Despite attempting 26 shots at all three levels of scoring, they only managed to sink eight of them. They’ve also had the ball grabbed four times already in this NBA Playoffs game. This has prevented them from building any offensive momentum. The fact that they turned the ball over six times didn’t help either.
