When Real Madrid faced Bayern Munich away at the Allianz Arena last week, Vinicius Jr. scored twice to help them draw 2-2.

The result may not have been perfect, but Carlo Ancelotti would welcome it with open arms provided how the Germans dominated the game on the night.

Tomorrow, the two teams will square off in the decisive 90 minutes of the match, with one team emerge victorious at the end of the night. Los Blancos enjoy a small advantage at home.

Momentum like no other

Nestled amongst the two legs of the semifinal against Bayern Munich, Real Madrid played Cadiz in La Liga.

The matchup between the table-toppers and a relegation-threatened club was always going to be exciting, with plenty of action.

Los Blancos won all three points at the Bernabeu before watching Barcelona lose to Girona later that evening.

The net outcome of the two games was that Real Madrid were officially proclaimed La Liga champions, having acquired a mathematically insurmountable lead at the top of the league.

For a result, the recently crowned Spanish champions enter Wednesday’s showdown with unparalleled momentum. They may be refraining from public celebration, but it is nearly impossible that their dressing room is not jubilant following the announcement.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, fell to VfB Stuttgart over the weekend and will travel to Madrid in a downbeat mood.

Will the Golden Boy Shine?

The encounter at Allianz Arena last week pitted not only two of the world’s finest teams against each other, but also two of football’s best young players.

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Muisala both started, but while the German star sparkled, the Golden Boy champion was unable to produce his best game.

In 75 minutes, the former Borussia Dortmund star made two vital passes, had no shots on goal, and lost possession eleven times.
